eureka 71b reviewI bought this Eureka 71B hand-held based on the numerous positive reviews… Boy am I glad! I feel like this little guy has almost as much suction as my upright. I have two large dogs and a cat, so needless to say, the vacuuming seems endless.
I have a carpet runner on my stairs and my upright was such a pain to lug up the stairs, and just didn’t seem to get the hair that was wedged in the corners of the runner- this hand-held gets it all without a hitch! I love that the hose detaches so I can get in every nook and cranny. If you’re questioning whether to buy this Eureka 71B vacuum, don’t!

I am impressed with the suction power of this little vacuum–it picks up mostly everything on the first pass. I use it on carpeted stairs and in the car, and so far, I have been pleased with its ability to do those jobs.
I think the cord is a convenient length (I have never run out of cord), though the vacuum itself is fairly heavy for its size. I had hoped that our kids could use it to help around the house, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to comfortably use it because of its weight (it gets a little heavy, even for me). ~ mommy to five
